HOW LONG IS THE INTERNSHIP?

The Ministry Internship is designed as a 12-month intensive program. This gives adequate time for deep mentorship, character development, assignment activation, and preparation for commissioning. After 12 months, interns who complete the program graduate at our annual conference and are publicly commissioned into ministry.

Can I join the internship immediately, or do I have to be a community member first?

You must be a community member for at least 60 days before applying for internship. This allows us to observe your engagement, commitment level, and readiness for intensive mentorship. It also gives you time to experience the culture and teaching style before making a larger commitment.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I GRADUATE?

Requirements:

Publicly commissioned at our annual conference

Awarded a certificate of ministry completion

Welcomed into our alumni community

Given ongoing support and connection

Invited to serve as guest speakers/teachers at future seminars

Referred for speaking and ministry opportunities

Celebrated and promoted within the Higher Ground network

ARE THERE ONLY 6 INTERN SPOTS IN TOTAL, OR 6 PER YEAR?

We maintain a maximum of 6 active interns at any given time to ensure quality mentorship. As interns graduate (typically annually at our conference), those spots open for new applicants. Applications open periodically throughout the year as space becomes available.

WHAT IF I'M NOT ACCEPTED INTO THE INTERNSHIP?

If you're not selected for internship, you'll receive honest feedback about why and what areas to focus on for future consideration. You can remain a community member, continue growing, and reapply when the next application period opens. We also maintain a waitlist for qualified candidates when all 6 spots are filled.
